"Right on Canal in New Orleans and I have never walked in until today. I have been missing out. To start with, our server Javonda was a joy. From the first laugh and her southern charm, we felt right at home. It helps that she laughed at my jokes too. The drinks were NOLA strong and the food was extremely well seasoned. The red beans and rice was creamy and spicy and the shrimp po boy was fantastic. One of the better eateries I have enjoyed on Canal."

There was a slight issue but was resolved efficiently and effectively due to Jneas and the managers care (I didn’t get the managers name!) we will be back as the food and service was brilliant xx much love from your new British friends :)"

"The atmosphere was very chill and laid back. The The Rockefeller oysters were fresh and delish. The alligator bites were seasoned to perfection and the catfish platter was enough for 2 ppl. The star of the show was the voodoo drink!"

"Nice atmosphere, the grilled chicken was delicious on my salad. One of the best grilled chicken I’ve ever had. Destiney was nice and attentive. Would rate 5 stars if it wasn’t so cold because they had both doors wide open and the smell of cigar or MariJ. Maybe it was the grilling from the Oyster Bar but overall not a bad place for a last minute meal."

"I recently dined at Blue Bayou and ordered the garlic oysters and the jambalaya. The garlic oysters were definitely the highlight—very fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. You could really tell the quality of the oysters, and they were easy to enjoy without being overpowered. The jambalaya was good overall, but for New Orleans–style food, it was missing a little depth and seasoning. It wasn’t bad by any means, just not as bold or flavorful as I expected. That said, the service was great—friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience enjoyable. With a bit more seasoning in the jambalaya, this place would really hit the mark. I’d definitely come back for the oysters and the atmosphere."

"Our server was fantastic, and the oysters were great. The food came out quickly, and no one in our group had any complaints. It’s definitely a spot I’d recommend to tourists, and as a local, I’d say it’s solid. My only gripe is that they give you just three tiny pieces of bread with a dozen oysters, and they add a 3% card fee while only accepting cards. That part feels like a rip‑off."

"I had an amazing experience at Blue Bayou! The restaurant is super cute. The food was good and the French 75 was pretty amazing. I especially enjoy the live music and I even did a TikTok because I enjoyed it so much. Thank you for a wonderful evening and dining experience."
